| Is your budget running low? Are you interested in good software that you can install on all of your computers and don't have to keep track of for licensing purposes? Do your students need better software at home in order for their files to be compatible with school computers? Well, do we have a deal for you! There are many free and open source software programs, similar to high-cost commercial programs, that schools and individuals can use at no cost with no strings attached. This workshop will provide an overview and experience with popular free/open source software that is used in classrooms around the world including:
This software is free to use and available for Macintosh, Windows and Linux computers. The class will also cover how to download, install and use the software (to an Introductory level).

2) Participants will be able to find, download and install free and open source software. 3) Participants will be to use the most popular open source software programs used in K-12 classrooms at a basic level at minimum. |
