PLEASE NOTE THIS TRAINING IS DESIGNED FOR SCHOOL BUILDING TEAMS OF 4-8. A BUILDING PRINCIPAL OR ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL IS REQUIRED.

This training will provide teams with main ideas that define school-wide positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS). Whole school approach to behavior. Investment in preventing problem behavior. Actively teaching and rewarding expected behaviors. Establish environments that are predictable. Use different practices for different levels (primary, secondary, tertiary) of behavior support. Implementation of the systems needed to support evidence-based practices. Commitment to ongoing self-evaluation and planning implementation and the collection and use of data for decision-making.

This workshop is designated for only those districts who participated in the 2008-2009 Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) first series and extended summer series.

A light breakfast and lunch is provided. The address of the West Valley Fire Station is 10000 Zier Road. It is north of the new West Valley High School. Please be on time.
